What is MiFinity in 2026?

MiFinity is a British-Irish payments company that has been trading since 2002 but only hit mainstream awareness in the last two or three years. The group operates under two regulatory licences β€” MiFinity (UK) Ltd, authorised by the FCA, and MiFinity Issuing (EEA) Ltd, authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority β€” and it runs the MiFinity eWallet as its consumer product plus a white-label rails business for online casino operators.

The product itself is a multi-currency e-wallet with a twist: instead of one balance in your base currency plus FX conversions, you can spin up to nine separate eWallets, each denominated in one of 18 supported currencies and each tagged with a category (Gaming, Forex, Travel, eCommerce). This keeps your casino balance cleanly separated from your travel money and makes cross-currency play genuinely cheap, because you only pay the 2.99% FX fee once when you top up the relevant wallet rather than on every transaction.

Deposits: the reason to use MiFinity

The MiFinity pitch starts at the cashier. Most card and bank deposits cost 1.8% inside the EEA β€” lower than Skrill's 2.5% on most local methods, lower than Neteller's flat 2.5%, and only beaten by Luxon Pay's free deposits at the VIP tier. Outside the EEA the card fee rises to 2.5–3.5% and some local rails reach 4.5%, which is where the price advantage evaporates. If you're a UK, Irish, German, French or Scandinavian player, MiFinity is consistently the cheapest major wallet at the top of the deposit funnel.

The full deposit menu is genuinely long. Cards, SEPA, Rapid Transfer, Open Banking, Interac e-Transfer, Boleto, SPEI, CashtoCode, PaysafeCard, a stack of local Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian bank rails, Indonesian bank transfers, and a well-implemented crypto on-ramp powered by Cryptopay that accepts BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, USDT, USDC, XRP, XLM and DAI at a flat 1.8%. The one deposit to avoid is PayPal at 6.5%, which reflects the merchant fees PayPal charges MiFinity and is not something you can negotiate away.

Withdrawals

MiFinity's withdrawal schedule is its other killer feature. Verified bank withdrawals are free, full stop, with no VIP requirement and no minimum. That is not true of Neteller (1.75% with a €3.50 minimum), Skrill (1.75% at Standard, free from Silver VIP up), or any other major competitor. Card withdrawals cost a flat €1 to €1.75 per transaction depending on method; crypto withdrawals cost 1.8%.

For UK and EEA residents the virtual IBAN feature turbo-charges this. Verification gives you a free IBAN tied to your MiFinity wallet, which you can use to receive SEPA Instant payments from any bank in Europe at zero fees. In practice this means you can pull casino winnings from MiFinity to your own bank account as a domestic transfer that settles the same business day, often within an hour.

Sending and receiving money

Moving money between your own MiFinity eWallets (different currencies or categories) is free. Sending to friends and family inside MiFinity is 1% capped at €10. Sending to a third-party bank account is 0.76% with a USD 1.90 minimum, falling to essentially zero on large transactions above USD 2,500. Receiving money in your wallet is always free. The P2P economics are better than Skrill or Neteller at Standard tier, though worse than the fully-free transfers VIPs on those wallets enjoy.

No VIP programme (and why that's OK)

One thing MiFinity deliberately does not have is a VIP programme. There are no quarterly volume targets, no tier progressions, no "reach Silver for free bank withdrawals." Every customer pays the same published fee schedule. For casual and mid-volume players this is straightforwardly better than the Skrill/Neteller model, where the advertised base-tier fees can feel punitive until you grind the volume to unlock discounts.

The trade-off is obvious: a high-volume punter clearing €150,000 per quarter will pay less with Neteller Diamond (2.39% FX) or Skrill Diamond (1.99% FX) than MiFinity's flat 2.99%. If your volume is that high, MiFinity stops being the cheapest option. For everyone clearing less than about €30,000 per quarter in merchant transfers β€” which is the large majority of users β€” MiFinity wins on price.

Gambling operator coverage

The MiFinity casino list is the fastest-growing in the category. As of April 2026 it's accepted at 1,000+ gambling operators, anchored by the SkillOnNet and Dama N.V. networks and an increasing number of Boomerang, 1x Entertainment and N1 Interactive brands. Shortlisted for the 2023 SBC Award for Payment Solution of the Year and again in 2024 for Payment Innovation of the Year, it's no longer a small player.

Sportsbook coverage still trails the casino list. Most of the top-tier sportsbooks (bet365, DraftKings, FanDuel) don't list MiFinity directly, though the Paddy Power / Flutter stable has started integrating it through their white-label partners in mainland Europe. If your primary use is a specific sportsbook, check its cashier page before you commit. If you play primarily at online casinos, MiFinity coverage is strong and growing.

Mobile app and security

The MiFinity apps for iOS and Android cover the full feature set: biometric login, push alerts on every transaction, in-app eWallet creation and currency switching, KYC document upload, and support for 21 interface languages. 2FA is required on high-value transactions and strongly recommended everywhere else. Customer balances are held in segregated accounts with partner banks (Barclays for EEA, separate UK custody for Sterling balances) and the whole stack is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.

MiFinity doesn't offer a prepaid Mastercard, which is the one area where it falls short of the Paysafe brands. If you want a physical card pulling from your wallet balance, you'll need to pair MiFinity with a dedicated card like Revolut or Wise. Given how much you save on MiFinity's deposit and withdrawal fees, this still usually comes out ahead on total cost.

Where MiFinity wins β€” and where it doesn't

MiFinity is the cheapest mainstream e-wallet for European bettors who clear less than €30,000/quarter in gambling deposits. 1.8% at the cashier, 0% verified bank withdrawals, 2.99% FX, and no VIP grind. If the operator accepts it, it's almost always the right wallet to use.

Where it loses: sportsbook coverage (Neteller and Skrill are still universal), very-high-volume play (Neteller Exclusive's 1.29% FX is unbeatable), and if you want a physical prepaid card (MuchBetter and Neteller both ship one).

FAQ

MiFinity questions, answered

  • Is MiFinity a legitimate e-wallet or a new startup?
MiFinity has been trading since 2002 and has FCA registration via MiFinity (UK) Ltd plus Malta Financial Services Authority authorisation via MiFinity Issuing (EEA) Ltd. It's not a new brand β€” it was just a lot quieter than Skrill and Neteller until the mid-2020s iGaming expansion pushed it into the mainstream. Over 1,000 online casino operators now accept MiFinity.
  • Does MiFinity have a VIP programme?
No, and it's one of the things we like about it. Everyone pays the same flat prices regardless of volume, so there's no quarterly grind to unlock better fees. If you want tiered benefits, Neteller, Skrill or Luxon Pay have deeper programmes; if you just want consistently cheap pricing, MiFinity is the right pick.
  • Which currencies does MiFinity support?
MiFinity supports 18 currencies across its multi-wallet product: AUD, BRL, CAD, CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HUF, NOK, NZD, PLN, RON, SEK, TRY, USD, and a couple of exotic rails. You can create up to nine separate eWallets β€” one per currency or one per category (Gaming, Forex, Travel, eCommerce).
  • Is MiFinity accepted at sportsbooks?
Increasingly, yes. The gambling-focused casino coverage is strong (SkillOnNet, 1x Entertainment, Dama N.V., Boomerang Partners all support it), but sportsbook integration still trails Neteller and Skrill. If your primary use is a big-brand sportsbook like bet365 or DraftKings, check the cashier before you commit β€” MiFinity is not universal there yet.
  • How fast are MiFinity withdrawals?
MiFinity advertises same-day withdrawal processing from the wallet to a verified bank account. In practice, SEPA transfers typically clear within hours, and the virtual IBAN lets you pull funds back as a domestic bank transfer which usually settles the same business day.
  • Why is the PayPal deposit fee so high?
Because MiFinity is paying PayPal's merchant fees on your behalf and passing them through. If you're funding from PayPal you're almost always better off pulling the money to your bank first and then depositing to MiFinity via SEPA for 1.8% or free.
